We received this product as a gift when our son was about 1 month old. We hadn't planned to get a playmat since we had a swing and bouncer, but we're SO glad we got this! Our son was interested in it from the first moment we put him down on it. He loves watching the lights, listening to the music, and batting at the toys. The toys that are included are a good variety, but more importantly, you can easily attach other toys made to go on a carrier or stroller bar. We mix them up every once in a while to keep it fresh.
He also loves the butterflies, but it's a manual mobile which stinks since I have to actually turn them myself for him to enjoy them. This is not a slick swivling mobile either; it's very taut and you have to really push to make it turn. That's really the only thing I'd say needs improving though! He still loves it at 4 months.
