We bought this play mat after looking at several and I am glad we decided to pay a little extra and get this one. My son loves laying on it and watching the lights and looking at himself in the small mirror. When it is time for tummy time he likes to scoot himself across the mat since it is much easier to scoot across than the carpet. The only complaints that I have about this mat is that it eats up batteries fairly quickly, I use the swing more than this play mat and I have had to replace the batteries in that much less than this mat. Also there is a small tiger on the mat that has a tail that protrudes from the mat and my son likes to put it in his mouth and suck on it, and it was just long enough to gag him so I cut it off.
