I began putting our son on this playmat gym when he was 3 weeks old. At the time he loved to lay and observe. Over time, he has become more interactive with the mat and attached toys. He's now 4.5 months and will play for about 15- 20 minutes at a time. We attached a Lamaze toy - Freddie the Firefly - to it, and he enjoys grabbing, swinging and chewing on it.
