My husband and I had a hard time picking a play mat (there are so many!) but decided to get this one because we liked the colors and the giraffe. We are SO SO happy we got it! My son LOVES it. We started laying him in there when he was about 2 months old and it would totally captivate him for the length of the song (20 minutes). Now he's 4 months old and laying him down on here allows me to cook dinner, get a shower...have at least 20 minutes of time to get stuff done. I actually really enjoy the song (Skip to my lou) and my son loves the rainforest sounds. At four months, he just started liking it for tummy time as well....he stares at the creatures down below. This comes with a variety of attachments...soft ones, a mirror, a rattle, a spinny toy... you can't go wrong.
