We used this with our first child and we LOVED it. I wasn't quite ready for her to be in another room when we brought her home, and I didn't like stumbling across the room to feed her in the middle of the night. We put this in bed with us (King size) and it worked out great. She was in bed with us without being IN bed with us. When she was a little older (about 2 1/2 months) we transitioned her to her crib easily by just laying the sleeper in the crib.
