This solved my problem of not feeling safe sharing a bed with my newborn. The walls are vented for good air flow but hard enough to prevent rolling over. In addition the sleeper is to be positioned above blankets so adult blankets won't cover baby. Only draw back is is the length my child is outgrowing it at 3 months. We are now using it to transition our daughter to her crib and it is working very well. Great for travel!
